Proposed Groundwater Project: The Stony Creek Fan Aquifer Performance Test - July 2008 - The Stony Creek Fan Partners (SCFP) who have proposed the project and the Butte Environmental Council (BEC) who has opposed the project have agreed to share their perspectives on the project. The intent is to increase awareness and understanding about the project and related issues.

August 2003 - Irrigation & Storm Water Runof Conditional Waiver Adopted After considerable public debate and several public hearings for more than a year, on July 11, 2003 the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted a "Conditional Waiver" to regulate agricultural irrigation and storm water runoff. This "Conditional Waiver" has the potential to affect any landowner with commercial or non-commercial irrigated lands in the Central Valley of California (from the Fall River Valley northeast of Redding to the foot of the Tehachapi Mountains south of Bakersfield). This newsletter provides background on the issue and discusses how the irrigated agricultural community is working to comply with this new surface water regulation. As a private landowner, you are encouraged to stay current on the implementation of this regulation and understand the options available to you to comply.
May 2003 -- Water Quality Waiver for Irrigated Agriculture Contested This newsletter is intended to keep irrigated landowners informed on the "Irrigation Runoff and Storm Water Conditional Waiver" currently being scrutinized, formed and implemented.
April 2003-New, Irrigated Ag Water Quality Regulations This issue discusses the status of new surface water quality regulations referred to as the "Irrigation and Storm Water Runoff conditional Waiver". This newsletter will provide background leading up to the adoption of this new conditional waiver, describe important aspects of this conditional waiver, and outline an effort amoung the irrigated agricultural community in the Sacramento Valley to respond responsiblity and effectively to the new regulation.
