Thank you for your interest in Youth Nutriiton Program aka Youth Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (Youth FSNEP). The research based, pilot-tested program provides age appropriate curriculum for children from preschool through high school. Through hands-on lessons, children are exposed to a variety of low-fat, low-sugar and high-fiber foods, especially fruits and vegetables. The program also focuses on increasing the awareness of food safety practices, making healthy food choices, physical activity and using the garden as a learning tool.
Each school or district must first sign the Memorandum of Understanding with UC-FSNE in order for their teachers to participate. The individual teachers must complete the Educator Enrollment Agreement to enroll in the Youth Nutrition Program. At the END of each month, teachers and staff need to report nutrition activities and hours given by submitting the Teacher Activity Report Form.
Your completion of the paperwork is much appreciated and documents the grant share from local partners. It is important we have this information to continue to receive the federal funding for the next program year.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS IN BLUE INK! Thank you.
